How does gtid-tie photovoltaic system work?

In the mountains, rivers, lakes and seas, we often see rows of photovoltaic panels, their small bodies contain great energy

After being illuminated by the sun, photovoltaic panels can produce a continuous supply of electricity for thousands of households.

You can see them in many places, such as on rooftops, lakes, hillsides, and even in space!

What is the principle of photovoltaic power generation? And how does the electricity that is generated get into millions of homes?
Today, let GOOTU take a look with you!
As early as 1839, French scientist Becquerel found that light can cause potential differences between different parts of semiconductor materials
This phenomenon is called the photovoltaic effect, that is, the conversion of photons (light waves) into electrons and the conversion of light energy into electrical energy and the formation of a voltage phenomenon.

The solar panels in the photovoltaic power generation system produce photovoltaic effect in the case of light, and the accumulation of different charges at both ends of the battery can convert light energy into direct current energy.

Photovoltaic panels produce direct current, which is difficult to be used directly by households and needs to be converted into alternating current. So how do you convert direct current to alternating current? This involves a device called an inverter. The inverter can transmit the direct current from the solar panel
The inverter is 110V/220V/230V/380V(based on user requirements).

So how does the electricity converted from the inverter enter the grid?

The first way is to directly enter the power grid, the photovoltaic power station with a capacity of less than 8 kilowatts is generated by a single-phase inverter into alternating current directly into the 220 volt grid. The second way is to enter the power grid after boosting the voltage, and the electricity generated by the small collective photovoltaic power station of 8 kW ~400 kW is converted into alternating current by the three-phase inverter and enters the 0.4 kV grid. Most of the electricity generated by medium-sized photovoltaic power stations of 400 kW ~20 MW enters the 10-35 kV power grid. The electricity generated by large-scale photovoltaic power stations of more than 20 MW generally enters the power grid of 66 kV and above voltage level. In these three cases, the current needs to be raised through the boost transformer to the corresponding grid-connected voltage, and the alternating current after the boost flows through the parallel point to the substation to complete the "Grid-tie" process, which can be used by thousands of households.
